Review:

This collection of faerie tales has three short, modern retellings of Cinderella, Snow White, and Sleeping Beauty. The best of three is the retelling of Cinderella. With a realistic plot line and a hint of fantasy in the appearance of her fancy dress from her mother who had passed away, the story moves quickly and tells the tale of gaining independence and freedom from bullies.

The Sleeping Beauty retelling starts with a crazy ex-girlfriend placing a curse on the future child of her old boyfriend. After a childhood filled with overprotecitve parents, Rosamond is let loose the moment she turns 18. While the switch from protected child to the freedom of an adult happens overnight is unrealistic, especially when the curse is supposed to take place only a week after her 18th birthday. The romance happens quickly just the way teenage romances do.

The retelling of Snow White has some of the elements of the original such as a mother figure trying to kill her daughter for her beauty are the same, other similarities are forced. Snowflake, as deemed by her seven men, seeks sanctuary after her narcissistic mom tries to drown her. Three years later when she turns 18, she heads to the party of the year with the rest of her stoner brotherhood where her mother finds her to finish the job she started.

Each of the three heroines find their own happily ever after at the Prinz party of the year along with independence and relief from the villains of their faerie tales.

Review:

Do you remember the fairy tales from your childhood and how they always had a villain in them? In this storylines you will find that they have villains. The whole stories are centered around the Prinz's party. First one has the plot of the ball in Cinderella there the prince must get married but it has a big time update!!
Second story is about damsels in trouble that has been jazzed up. Three story is about Snow White that has lots of twists and turns in. This is a fun adventure in reading.
The characters are interesting but every different. Need to sit down and escape in stories because you will enjoy them.
